Project Description
The Birck Nanotechnology Center is an 187,000-square-foot facility located in Purdue’s $100 million Discovery Park. This new three-story research building has 40,000 square feet of general laboratory space and 29,500 square feet of ultra cleanrooms which include Class 10, Class 100 and Class 1000 cleanrooms. The Birck Nanotechnology Center is the first-of-its-kind institutional cleanroom facility in the United States with research now under way within a host of disciplines – agriculture, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, and physics – with projects ranging from nanoelectronics and nanaomanufacturing to public health.
