PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Capitol View was a fast paced build from start to finish. With the project located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the demanding schedule and congested multi-trade work space presented many challenges. Through the course of the build, our Capitol View project team possessed an incomparable ability to address the unique challenges that were presented by the aggressive schedule and space restraint of Capitol View.

With an aggressive schedule and over 200 different types of contractors on site, our Capitol View project team embraced an early collaborative approach, right from the start. The planning and coordination that took place before the project began, played a major role in the team making intentional choices throughout the design development phase. This also limited any major scope of work changes. The Gaylor Electric team met daily to set short term goals, and discuss the Safety, Quality and Production plan to meet those goals. In addition, all trades met weekly to focus on upcoming goals and maintaining Capitol View’s aggressive timeline. This practice allowed for seamless coordination of all jobsite activities, and promoted a collaborative approach to identifying the critical components that ultimately led to the project’s success. In addition, the team’s use of Trimble and fabrication also aided in successful coordination. As a result, the project was executed on time and without trade clashes.
