PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The 750,000 sf corporate headquarters for Lowe’s home improvement stores consists of two seven-story towers connected to an existing facility and two parking garages covering 945,000 sf which add to the impressive structure on the 228-acre environmentally friendly campus.
Gaylor contributed more than 310,000 man hours to constructing this LEED certified building and attached parking decks. Electricians ran more than one million feet of conduit, wire and cable and installed 20,000 feet of cable tray to manage sensitive communications applications.
Electricians strategically placed 3,800 floor boxes in raised floor access panels preparing the office space for multiple computer stations. In addition, crews installed 11,000 light fixtures of 200 different varieties. Using a combination of natural daylight and artificial illumination, Gaylor helped establish an energy efficient lighting plan complete with motion sensors and dimming devices.
In addition to providing interior electrical, lighting and communications expertise, site lighting is a key aesthetic element for the campus. Decorative low voltage lamps surround the 7-acre lake and bollard fixtures illuminate the bridge, pathways, streams and gardens.
Gaylor completed the electrical scope over a three-year period and continues to provide support services for additions, renovations, repairs and general maintenance.
