PROJECT DESCRIPTION
RV4 is a training facility nestled in the center of the Red Ventures beautiful campus. This $90 million, 300,000 square foot space connects to the three existing buildings, and is the centerpiece of the complex. The site includes state-of-the-art training rooms, a stunning ballroom, 275 seat auditorium and a 90,000 square foot sales center. In addition to the luxurious indoor accommodations, an outdoor amphitheater and on-site café was also constructed.
The electrical portion of this project included power distribution, lighting and lighting control, integration with emergency power systems, complete fire alarm system, and complete lightning protection system with the use of virtual design and BIM coordination.
New switchgear was required to tie into existing gear without power interruption to the Red Ventures facility during construction. Underground feeder conduits were intercepted and extended to a new main distribution panel which supported transformers, panelboards, life safety transfer switch, kitchen equipment and mechanical disconnects.
Long-lead custom and decorative fixtures were installed throughout the building to accentuate the architectural design of a round building. Advanced DMX lighting controls were integrated into the audio/visual system giving employees and associates a state of the art experience in the auditorium. Lighting controls were used throughout the building to give the customer limitless control options.
A complete fire alarm system was installed and tied into the existing system without interruption. Special attention was taken to reduce the visual impact of the lightning projection system on the roof to highlight the Red Ventures Logo.
Virtual design and BIM was critical in the lighting hanger layout which was surveyed and installed from the steel decking months prior to fixture delivery.
