What does a Project Engineer do?
Project Engineers are responsible for ensuring all their projects are delivered within project cost, time, and quality standards. To do this, they are tasked with timely billing, regular review of job costs, scheduling of materials, tools, equipment, and information to ensure overall project health. Onsite, they are responsible for identifying, analyzing, communicating, and resolving existing or anticipated obstacles to meet task/project schedules.
What skills are required of a Project Engineer?
Project Engineers must be able to manage supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives, schedule completion, and timely deliverables are accomplished. They must also be able to plan and organize tasks to meet project deadlines while monitoring production, safety, and quality.
